UEH Deepens Ties with Sunway University and Signs MoU with INTI International University; UEH Students Shine at ICSE 2025

UEH’s delegation completed a high-impact working visit to Malaysia from 22–25 September 2025, combining leadership dialogues at Sunway University, an MoU signing with INTI International University (Nilai), and a study tour featuring lectures, workshops, and conference presentations. On 25 September, led by UEH Vice President Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, the delegation met Sunway University’s Provost and representatives from the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Sunway Business School, and the Centre for English Language Studies to frame an expanded cooperation agenda. Priority areas include short-term mobility and semester exchange, co-taught EMI/ESP modules and micro-credentials, joint research/co-supervision, and industry-linked projects. The parties also convened a focused technical session to map curriculum collaboration, internships, and co-branding mechanisms for rollout in 2026.

Building a university brand image that is environmentally friendly is not only a social responsibility, but has also become an important strategy to attract students and enhance competitiveness in the field of higher education. In that context, a research team from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) conducted the study "When University Brands Go 'Green': The Role of Authenticity and Stereotypes in Building Relationships with Students" to analyze how factors such as authenticity and green brand stereotypes influence students' trust, brand love, and brand identification when choosing a university.

[Research Contribution] How Did Social Distancing Policies Affect Vietnam’s Economy During COVID-19?

Nationwide lockdown or regional lockdown – which policy is more optimal from an economic analysis perspective in controlling the pandemic? A study by an author from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) employs the TERM economic model to “decode” the differential impacts of social distancing strategies in Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings reveal that each policy choice not only alters the nation’s overall GDP but also generates varying effects on the expenditure components of GDP as well as on the sectoral contributions to GDP across regions – a consideration that policymakers must carefully weigh in future crises.
