On March 26, 2026, the UEH College of Business organized a series of academic and professional exchange activities and a working session with the delagation from the University of Queensland to discuss potential directions for future collaboration. 

Executive Lecture: Corporate Sustainability in Practice – Leadership, ESG, and Long-term Value Creation

As part of the program, the UEH College of Business (UEH-COB) organized an Executive Lecture titled “Corporate Sustainability in Practice – Leadership, ESG, and Long-term Value Creation” at Campus B of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).

The session was attended by members of the UEH-COB Board of Management, faculty leadership, program directors, department heads, lecturers, doctoral candidates, and students. From The University of Queensland, the delegation included Professor Andrew Griffiths, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, and Ms. Laura Hassett, Senior Manager, International Services, who joined and shared insights during the session.

Overview of the Executive Lecture.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Nguyen, Rector of the UEH College of Business, emphasized the growing importance of ESG factors and sustainable development in an increasingly dynamic global economy. He noted that UEH always fosters an academic environment that encourages research, teaching, and scholarly exchange in this field, while also aiming to connect academic knowledge with practical corporate governance.

In his presentation, Professor Andrew Griffiths shared perspectives on the role of leadership in integrating ESG principles into the long-term development strategies of businesses. He highlighted that, amid climate change and the global transition toward a sustainable economy, organizations must enhance their adaptability and build resilience to maintain competitive advantages and create sustainable long-term value.

Strengthening Academic Exchange and Collaboration between UEH College of Business and The University of Queensland

Following the Executive Lecture, the leadership of the UEH College of Business held a working session with the delegation from The University of Queensland to discuss potential directions for collaboration in education and research.

During the meeting, representatives from both institutions shared information about their academic strengths, development orientations, and potential areas of cooperation in the coming period. Discussions focused on developing international collaborative training models, enhancing academic exchange between faculty members and students, and expanding joint research activities in areas aligned with the strengths of both institutions.

Representatives of the UEH College of Business Board of Management and faculty leadership are meeting with the delegation from The University of Queensland.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to explore future collaborative initiatives and to develop practice-oriented education and research programs that respond to the growing demand for high-quality human resources in a rapidly transforming economic and social landscape.

The series of activities on March 26, 2026, created valuable opportunities for both institutions to strengthen academic exchange, share professional expertise, and reinforce the foundation for cooperation between the UEH College of Business and The University of Queensland in the near future.
